300 guests recently turned up to view the emerging talent on offer from the University of Queensland’s School of Architecture Graduate Exhibition.  Go forth and design young architects!

- One whole studio of 90m2 with private street entrance

- One studio of 45m2 with lockable entrance and big windows

- Two single deskspaces in a shared studio

All have 24hr secure access to over 180m2 of shared facilities.  The studios themselves are hewn from a renovated warehouse and feature polished wooden floorboards, high ceilings and a beautiful deck with city views, perfect for those Friday afternoon drinks.   Recycled shipping containers have been used for the meeting rooms, bathrooms and kitchen.  It’s like a little piece of Brooklyn cool right here in the Valley.

The other tenants include fashion, architects, designer office furniture, graphic designer, new media geeks and marketing gurus.  There’s a great comraderie amongst the tenants and loads of interesting events happening downstairs in the venue.  So what are you waiting for?

How many motorhomes can fit in Space 1?  About a dozen if you squeeze them in with great precision.  This perplexing question was answered by the good folk from Talvor Motorhomes as they held a meet and greet session with dealers and media at Lightspace.  If you too feel the need to get on the road in style visit http://www.talvor.com/

Tis the season to be jolly, and Gadens Lawyers did that in fine Arabian style recently at Lightspace.  The venue was transformed by Mars Events into a desert oasis with date palms, camels, minarets, acrobats and even a live snake.  The effect was made all the more real by the appearance of so many sheiks, genies and belly dancers (aka the Gadens staff) who danced the night away in fine style.

Lightspace provided the perfect blank canvas for a recent Mazda TV commercial shoot.  The brief was to have the car drive itself through a number of situations, including  a department store created specially in the venue.  You can see the ad running at the moment on TV screens all around the country.

In what was yet another incredibly tough two days at the office, the Monster girls held their calendar shoot wrap party at Lightspace.  With so many beautiful women in the room, an incredible DJ rig and plenty of Monster Energy behind the bar, mayhem was guaranteed and delivered.
