Ten 10 Exhibition
Wow, what a great night! With different light installations from local artists dotted around the venue the Ten10 Exhibition certainly brought something different to Brisbane. Great to see this stuff happening, especially produced by some local lads and ladettes.

Treading Water

Lightspace hosted Treading Water, a mid-week fundraiser for the Premier’s Flood Relief Appeal. With some great bands playing including Silent Feature Era, Alan Boyle and The Shelby Riots, not to mention a special guest appearance by state MP Grace Grace, a fab night was had by all. A big thanks to Mat from AAA Backstage for organising such a worthy event.
Mark Ronson @ Lightspace
It was tough having one of the world’s hottest producers rehearse with his band at Lightspace to about six of our friends, but somehow we pulled through. A super fun and super cool night!
Sampology Preview Show

With an incredible mash up of music and images, Sampology’s Preview Show went off with a monster bang. For those of you unfamiliar with Sam’s work, he cuts up and mixes film footage from every obscure source imaginable to accompany a banging DJ set. A very talented young lad, this was the preview show to his upcoming US tour. Being a Brissie boy, Sam also got everyone got on board to donate the ticket price to the Flood Relief Appeal. A personal fave was the set by DJ Cutloose, who actually prepares a very tasty pizza while spinning some kicking tunes in full chef outfit. A good time, a great cause and a big thanks to Jane from Young Strangers and the crew from Wine and Dine M.
Blacklight Music Festival

Stuyvesant
This event was a while ago, but we think the photos are worth posting. With live tattooing, a barbershop, live art portraits, burlesque dancers, The Vines and Yves Klein Blue DJ’ing it was quite a wild night, and an oldie is always a goodie.

Lightspace officially Trailer Trashed
Well the boys from Joshua Levi Galleries put on a fantastic show once again with some incredible live street art and performances from Sampology and Jackson Jackson. The venue will take a while to recover but can’t wait for the next one!
